So delicious and great to have as a hamburger bun or as a bread roll for a sandwich. It holds together well and the crusty top is good and different for a GF and allergy free bread. Its super soft on the inside and crusty on the outside.

I love this bread – I having been making it almost every weekend for the last couple of months. The crust is crunchy just like a wheat loaf, and the inside is light and soft – although a little too-uniform consistency. It tastes best still hot, freshly made into sandwiches or lightly toasted (it does burn easily when toasting). It also makes great hot cross buns. Delicious! I would love to see it in Coles or Woolies one day – at the moment it is a 30 min drive to the nearest shop that sells it and I am in the middle of Melbourne (I have recently switched to buying it online).

WELL, it’s soooo GOOD …. I love this Crusty Bread Mix. I add 2 tabs sugar to the mix tho, as I believe it makes it much tastier.
I make it up as 8 oblong buns in 2 breads tins (4 in ea). Each bun can be used as a hamburger bun, OR I can cut each bun into 4 slices of bread.
I…. Luv…. Bread, and living and cooking for other family members – who are not Gluten, Dairy or Soy Intolerant – I now no longer envy them the ordinary bread because this W&G Crusty Bread has finally hit the mark for me!

I was sceptical about this but wow. Best GF bread ever. So delicious. My son is deliriously happy to finally have bread that doesn’t taste like cake. We can even make cheesey bread like we had in Canada as this actually holds it’s shape well.

We have been using the W&G crusty Bread mix now for a long time. Being from German decent we love bread. Adding some carob powder, Caraway seeds, Cinnamon and mixed spice gives the loaves more colour and European bread taste.
I have even added some coffee in my last 2 loaves, delishes….more like Pumpernickel.

When you buy a packet mix it’s expected that you have to add ingredients, but 1/3 cup of rice flour, why is this not included in the box? It’s a dry ingredient!! We already have to pay twice the price for gluten free products, this really made me mad.

Hi Emma, thanks for your feedback and sorry that you weren’t happy with our bread mix. We suggest using rice flour to stop the dough from sticking to the bench, but it isn’t necessary. You can also use any gf flour of choice for dusting, it doesn’t have to be rice flour.
